Honda Cars India has registered a positive growth of 18 per cent in the month of October, 2014. The company sold 13,242 units in domestic market in October compared to 11,214 units in the same month last year. Moreover, the company sales also crosses 1 lakh mark in the current fiscal year. Honda recorded 43 per cent growth during the period of April-October 2014 with 1,01,442 units as against 70,831 units sold in the corresponding period last year.
Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President – Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, “ We have clocked excellent sales during the year so far where all our products have received tremendous response.” He further added, “Starting November, the Tapukara plant will start operations in the second shift, thereby, ensuring better availability of the Honda City. This will also see full capacity utilization of Tapukara plant.” HCIL also exported a total volume of 357 units during October 2014.
Honda City again tops the chart with 5,120 units sold in October. The Amaze accounts for 3,482 units while the Mobilio sales stand at 2,985 units. The company sold around 1,584 units of Brio and 71 units of CR-V. Total exports stand at 357 units.
