      Honda HR-V 2018 facelift spotted on test

      The upcoming Honda HR-V facelift has been spotted testing in Malaysia. The Japanese car manufacturer is likely to launch the new model early next year and will further boost the sales for its popular selling compact SUV. Reports indicate that the Japanese car manufacturer is also likely to introduce the new HR-V in India sometime in 2019.

      Changes in the upcoming Honda HR-V will be limited to cosmetic upgrades while mechanically it will continue to be offered in existing engine options. In the international market, the Honda HR-V is currently available in three engine options - a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol unit, a 1.5-litre i-VTEC+i-DCD hybrid power-train and a 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel unit. The compact SUV will continue being offered in both manual and automatic transmission options.

      Based on what can be seen, the upcoming 2018 Honda HR-V will get a new headlamp assembly, sportier bumper and a new fog lamp cluster. The sides look identical to the current generation model, however it gets tweaked alloy wheels for freshness. As for the interior, the new model is expected to get revised upholstery and new material for creaturely comforts. Additionally, the vehicle also gets a new infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
