Honda recorded its biggest sales ever in March 2008. The company recorded a growth of 4.8% by selling 8895 units in March 2008 against 8487 units in the same month previous year. The overall sale for the company was 62,802 units in the financials year 2007-08. This is against reflects an overall growth of 2.4% over the previous year when the company sold 61325 units. It also recorded 13.4% increase in its sales in the first quarter of 2008 by selling 20,436 units against 18,021 units in the same quarter previous year.
The overall growth was a direct result of Honda Siel’s expansion plans during the year 07-08. It expanded its sales and distribution network by increasing its 80 facilities in 51 cities. Earlier it used to provide 55 facilities in 41 cities of India.
Honda City ZX recorded the biggest sales all over the country with 6492 units where as Civic and CRV were sold as 2074 and 329 units respectively.
