The Honda City facelift in the ZX variant has been spotted at a dealership ahead of its official debut in the Indian market. This car was recently launched in the Thai market and will be offered in India with both petrol and diesel power.

This ZX variant was discontinued when the car entered its fifth generation in 2008 and for a long time VX was the top-spec model. From the pictures we can see that this new ZX variant gets the revised Honda face as well as the now standard LED tail lamps. Updates to the cabin include a new touchscreen infotainment system, button start and most probably an auto-dimming ORVM. Sources also suggest rain sensing wipers and high quality plastics for the cabin.

Under the hood, this car will continue with the 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. The former produces 117bhp/145Nm while the latter produces 98bhp/200Nm. The petrol can be had with a five-speed manual or CVT while the diesel is offered with a six-speed manual.
We believe that this revised City will be priced marginally higher than the outgoing model due to the additional features. It will continue to rival the likes of the Skoda Rapid, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento and the Nissan Sunny.
