These new spy pictures come just ahead of the bike’s launch in Indonesia. The new facelift machine has been provided with split dual headlamps. The front fairing is well-sculpted and is expected to pull in a lot of fans. The design and the appearance have been made much sharper. Honda has installed this sharper design on smaller CBRs, as well, which was not the case for the ones that are available in India. All such bikes are designed on the basis of VFRs and have nothing in common with the original CBR styling other than the moniker.

As far as the reports are concerned, it is expected that this Honda model went through a mechanical upgrade, as well instead of just a few styling upgrades. The brand must have added an extra bit of power as well as much-needed torque to bring the bike on the same page as CBRs should be. The bike is currently known to produce approximately 17.57 bhp of power at 10500 rpm with a torque output of 12.66 Nm at 8500 rpm. The power output is not much of a worry as it is at par and sometimes even better than the best, it is the twisting force that might be a problem. With a CBR, the torque should have been a bit more and 12.66 Nm is almost disastrously low. Even the Unicorn is able to generate a better torque. There are speculations that Honda will definitely deal with this issue in the days to come.

The fact that this presentation from Honda looks way better than its predecessors is a sure winner. Once the engineers get the model tweaked to get a better torque output, maybe some more horsepower, the Yamaha will be given a run for their money. The launch of this bike is happening on September 7th and the best thing to watch out for will be the detailed specifications and the pricing.
