      Honda cars India witness 25 per cent sale growth in August 2017

      Honda cars India has sold 17,345 units in August 2017 as against the 13,941 units sold in August 2016, thereby reporting a growth of 25 per cent. Moreover, this fiscal year also started on a positive note as Honda reported a 22 per cent growth with 73,012 unit sales between April-August 2017, as against 59,821 units sold in the same period last year.

      The Honda City continues to be a bestseller for Honda once again in August this year with a sale of 5,538 units. The second and the third position in terms of sales are held by the WR-V and the Jazz at 5,200 unit and 2,747 unit sales respectively in August 2017. In the same month, the company sold 1,928 units of the Amaze and 1,247 units of the BR-V. Honda’s Brio, CR-V and Accord Hybrid have however been witnessing low sales at 640 units, 55 units and 10 units respectively. Cumulatively, Honda India reportedly sold 17,365 units in the country and exported 575 units in August 2017.

      Yoichiro Ueno, President and CEO, Honda Cars India Ltd. said “HCIL continues to record strong sales in August led by City and WR-V. The festive purchases have already begun in some parts of the country and we expect the festival season to further boost our sales numbers in the next two months. HCIL has announced ‘The Great Honda Fest’ from today and we want our customers to take this opportunity to get maximum benefits on the purchase of their Honda car.”
