      Honda BR-V receives over 9,000 bookings in a month

      The newly launched Honda BR-V has evoked a positive response from the local masses with over 9,000 unit bookings registered in a month. The seven-seat compact SUV has received almost equal number of bookings for the petrol as well as the diesel variants. The compact SUV also boasts about offering a class leading ground clearance of about 210mm.

      Speaking about it, BR-V, Mr. Raman Kumar Sharma, Senior Vice President and Director, HCIL, said, “The new Honda BR-V is an extremely important product for Honda. We are extremely delighted with the response for BR-V. The product has been well received due to its strong offering of overall package. Honda BR-V will contribute significantly to HCIL’s growth in this year.”

      The new Honda BR-V is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol variant gets a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder i-VTEC engine which generates about 118bhp of power and 145Nm of torque. The diesel on the other hand gets a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder engine which generates 100bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a six-speed manual transmission, while CVT option is available only in petrol guise. The diesel variant returns about 21.9kmpl, while the petrol manual transmission returns 15.4kmpl and the CVT trim returns 16kmpl.

      Along with a range of other active features, the Honda BR-V also gets dual SRS airbags as standard.
