Hindustan Motors, one of the oldest car makers in the country, is all set to give their portfolio of passenger and light commercial vehicles a new breath of life. The company is planning to launch new variants of their passenger & commercial vehicles soon.

Moreover, from October onwards, the company is planning to sell locally assembled version of Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. Assembling Pajero Sport locally, will help the company in saving on the excise duty, which will enable it to position this SUV more competitively against the rivals like Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.

Meanwhile, the company is working on strengthening their sales & service network in the Indian market with increasing focus on semi urban areas. In a bid to reach more and more buyers in these areas, the company plans to open a number of new dealerships and warehouses, as per a statement released by the company recently.

Also, the company is working on upgrading their Diesel engine to make it compatible to the new BS-IV emission norms. HM is looking forward to regain their lost market share in the texi segment in the coming years.
