Country’s largest bikemaker Hero MotoCorp is reportedly working on three new performance oriented bikes for 2016. The bikes are reportedly codenamed AABA, AANF and AAZA for now. It is believed that the AABA and AANF could be powered by engine ranging between 150-160cc while the AAZA could be powered by 223cc single-cylinder engine from the Karizma or may get an entirely new 200cc engine. One of the two 150-160cc bikes could be offered with a full fairing design, while the other can possibly get a naked-streetfighter design.

Plans to launch the new models next year may only be known if the company makes an official announcement in this regard at the 2016 Auto Expo event. Back in 2014 Auto Expo event, the bikemaker had showcased the HX250R, which got stalled as the company partner Eric Buell Racing (EBR) filed for bankruptcy. Since then Hero has reportedly taken over the project and also plans to launch it next year. Hero MotoCorp shall also inaugurate its very own state-of-the-art Research and Development centre near Rajasthan’s state-capital, Jaipur on 14th January, 2016. For this purpose, the company has reportedly invested about Rs 450 Crores towards the development of Hero Centre of Global Innovation and Research and Design.
