Hero Duet brochure leaked days ahead of official launch

Country's largest bikemaker Hero Motocorp has been known for delivering two-wheelers that serve the regular commuter needs. This time around sources have revealed the brochure of the new Duet scooter just days before its official launch on 29th September. Post launch the scooter is expected to emerge as a strong competitor against the new Honda Activa-i.

The new Hero Morocorp Duet shall be powered by 110.9cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol engine that generates about 8.3Bhp of power at 8,000rpm and 8.3Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. As per the brochure, the scooter would be offered in two variants – LX and VX. In terms of dimensions, the scooter measures 1,830mm in length, 725mm in width, 1,140mm in height and has a ground clearance of about 155mm. In terms of wheelbase, the LX measures 1,240mm, whereas the VX gets an additional longer wheelbase of about 5mm. In terms of weight, the LX weighs about 115kg, whereas the VX measures about 116kg.

In terms of features the scooter gets electric self-starter, external fuel filler with buzzer, mobile charging USB port, digital-analogue instrument console with service reminder, combination lock and front and rear luggage hook, side stand, tubeless tyres. The Duet scooter would be offered in six body colours - Nature Green Metallic, Matt Vernier Grey, Panther Metallic Black, Grace Grey Metallic, Candy Blazing Red and Pearl Silver White.
