Popular bikemaker Harley Davidson has recently unveiled its 2016 line-up of Dark Custom theme of motorcycles for the Indian market. Among the list, the bikemaker has specifically withdrawn the SuperLow priced at Rs 6 lakh and FatBoy Special priced at Rs 15.5 (Both, ex-showroom) from the Indian market owing to its poor sales numbers. The bikes have been present in the Indian market for around 3-years now yet failed to accumulate impressive sales numbers.

The FatBoy Special is powered by 1690cc air cooled engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox while the SuperLow gets a 883cc V twin air cooled engine that comes mated to 5-speed gearbox. It is also believed that the Street 750 has emerged as a local favorite owing to its lower price tag of Rs. 4.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) as compared to other models from the American bikemaker.

At the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo event in Delhi, Harley Davidson is expected to showcase its future concept models. In terms of competition in India, the bikemaker faces a stiff competition against the recently introduced Indian Motorcycles and Triumph Motorcycles in India. More details on the company’s future plans shall be known during the upcoming event.
