'Mulund Festival 2013' was held from 25th-29th December 2013 and one of the main attractions of this festival was the unique Harley-Davidson rally. The rally began at the scheduled time 4:30 pm from Mulund East opposite Fire Brigade, Gavanpada. Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade was present to flag-off the Harley-Davidson bike rally. While encouraging participants, he said with a broad familiar smile, “It's the passion of the owners of various Harley Davidson bike, who took part in this festival and I have actually been very fascinated by their passion.” This rally gave thrilling moments to both, participants and spectators, as roaring bikes hit out roads of eastern suburb on the Wednesday evening.
Just before the start of rally, bikers were in a swinging mood and looked keen to get their two-wheelers rolling on a 100-km ride. Around 35 premium bikes made everyone present around subdued by their unique impressive designs. As if this was not enough, bikers also wore leather jackets with a written message 'Save Girls Child'. Soon, rally began and bikers with their Harley-Davidsons felt thrilled on Mulund streets. Spectators too felt amused to see a fleet of premium bikes running on streets.
Notably, Mulund Festival 2013 was organised by Sewak NGO Chairman Charan Singh Sapra MLC. He was quoted as saying, “Mulund festival is all about fun and togetherness. This is unique kind of bike rally where every biker is very passionate to rule on Mulund road. The fest is celebrated by every Mulundities with lots of Enthusiasm and Zest.”
Apart from the bike rally, other main events were Karaoke Singing, Dancing, Painting and Rangoli. However, it was the bike rally that managed to steal the show. One of the participating riders expressed, “It was an awesome experience for the Mulund people. They have never seen this kind of sport spirit." The people get stuck to the place to get a glimpse of Shreyas Talpade and bikes.” By the time, the festival was over, everyone felt highly exciting about the festive-masti mood that brought them together to share fun, joy and love with others.
