Auto Expo 2014 gets more entertaining and interactive than its yesteryear events. In recent times Social media has been an effective tool to reach out to masses on a larger scale. Google Hangout, You Tube and Facebook has been seen a large number of interested buyers and enthusiasts logging in for updates. These portals have been widely popular amongst the younger age group who regularly wait for updates.

An official from Hyundai Motors, said, “Young generation plays a key role as they are more aware and want to know instantly. We feel that through innovative marketing concepts on digital platform, we create a direct connect with consumers and offer them better understanding of our brand.” It is also interesting to see that Facebook page for Auto Expo already has more than 43,000 fans!

Google Hangout application has been doing well for Audi, Hero MotoCorp and Mercedes Benz fans who get a chance to interact with celebrities at the stall. Moreover Hero MotoCorp has been entertaining the audience using the 'Switch' application that allows the visitor to view the stand from every possible angle.

Gaurav Kapur, Google India Industry Head, said, “Buyers rate Internet more important than TV or print media for auto related content, thanks to fast, easy access to necessary information and rich media formats such as on-line video. This not only helps in creating mind share but also translates to a potential buy at a later date.”
