Technological giant Google has been a key player in the online space. This time around Google Inc has been reportedly working on devising a new Android version that can be built directly into cars. This would indeed help drivers to access Internet without even having to connect via their smartphones. The company has not revealed the time frame by which the new android app may find way into cars, but based on anticipation it is expected to be launched in about a year or so. The latest technology may be named as 'Android M'.

Speaking more on the occasion, Thilo Koslowski, vice president and Automotive Practice Leader, Gartner, said, “It provides a much stronger foothold for Google to really be part of the vehicle rather than being an add-on.” Apart from giving Google a strong footing in the market against its rival Apple Inc, it is likely to be offered as a standard system that powers car's entertainment and navigation features. One of the internal source referring to developments said, “With embedded it's always on, always there. You don't have to depend on your phone being there and on.”
