      GM honors best techies at Chevrolet dealership outlets in India

      Chevrolet though a well known brand in India, has always been at the center of dissatisfaction owing to high cost of ownerships and among its users. And most often, even good technicians are at the receiving end due to this as customers tend to blast on them to vent out their frustration. This time around as an appreciation to their efforts, GM India has presented ‘Chevy Smartech’, ‘Customer Evangelist’ and ‘Super Advisor’ awards to best technicians at Chevrolet India dealership outlets.

      The event was marked with the presence of Arvind Saxena, president and managing director; S K Garg, plant manager for Talegaon; Asif Khatri, director of quality; Manoranjan Dhar, director of quality (Plant) and Vivek Sahasrabuddhey, director, product planning and program management. About 20 participants from each category made it to the ‘Grand Finale’, post going through grelling rounds involving written tests, on-board vehicle diagnostics, role plays and viva tests. Among the 20 contestants, about 6 of them competed in the Grand Finale where only top three would be selected to receive certificates, cash prices and trophies awarded by distinguised judges.

      As for the winner list - Nidheesh KM of Geeyem Motors from Thrissur, Kerala won the ‘Chevy Smartech’ category. Ms. Sarala V from Kropex India, Bangalore received the ‘Customer Evangelist’ category award, whereas the Syed Irfan of Trident Automobiles, Bangalore received ‘Super Advisor’ award.
