      General Motors Company Eyes Indian Business Operations

      General Motors in the US came out of bankruptcy on Friday with the launch of new restructured firm, General Motors Company. Now the restructured parent company aggressively eyes its Indian operations to take advantages of the opportunities in the Indian market. "GM will continue to remain aggressive in India in order to take advantage of opportunities as they arise," General Motors India President and Managing Director Karl Slym said in a statement. "Our goal is to continue to provide the best cars to our customers across the country while taking advantage of the extensive global resources offered by the new General Motors Company," he added.

      According to the company, all business plans for its Indian operations are on track and the company intends to introduce at least two more models this year. it is currently planning the launch of its crossover model Chevrolet Cruze from its mother plant in Halol. It will later introduce Cheverolet Mini car from its new plant in Talegaon. With the support and backing of its parent company, GM India is all set for its aggressive market plans in India.
