The much awaited compact sub-meter SUV YBA from Maruti Suzuki has once again been spotted on-test in the country. The vehicle is expected to be launched during the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo event in the country. Post launch it is expected to compete against the recently launched Mahindra TUV300, Renault Duster and Ford Ecosport. Though the vehicle has been heavily camouflaged, some part of its tail-lamps as still visible.
The upcoming Maruti Suzuki YBA is available in Petrol and Diesel engine options. The petrol trim would likely be powered by 1.2-litre K-Series engine, while the diesel trim could be powered by 1.3-litre DDiS engine. Apart from the manual transmission option, Maruti could also offer CVT transmission in petrol.
The new Maruti YBA is expected to be loaded with all modern safety features and get an upmarket interior design to make it stand-out in competition. The vehicle could likely be positioned below the S-Cross and offered via Nexa dealerships. The pricing aspect may only be known at the time of its official unveiling while other technical details may be revealed in the coming days.
