The Skoda Kodiaq is coming to India next month and will be a big launch for the Czech automaker. It’s their new flagship vehicle and will be priced higher than the Superb. With a growing demand for SUVs, things actually look pretty good for Skoda. However, on the old continent, things are a bit different for Skoda and it has appeal to a mature buyer who knows what he or she exactly wants. Enter the Skoda Kodiaq Sportline- it’s all the goodness of the Skoda Kodiaq but with sporty overtones to those who want something more from their bear-monikered SUV.

Well as the name suggests you get a black pack which covers the grille, roof rails, ORVMs and the perimetre of the glass area. The rest of the car remains unchanged save for some silver accents at the rear. Inside, its business as usual with all the fancy Skoda bits on offer, but it is now trimmed out in alacantara rather than wood, leather and plastic.

The India-spec Kodiaq is expected to be offered with a 1.4-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel. Expect both engines to be offered only with AT options. We expect that the 2.0-litre diesel variant will get AWD as an optional extra.
