      Frankfurt Auto Show 2017: BMW globally unveils the i3s

      The BMW i3s goes a step ahead in term of performance and styling over the new i3 facelift. On the front, the NMW i3s gets slightly larger horizontal fog lights and a more aggressive front bumper in comparison to the i3. Moreover, the car also gets a unique two-tone red and black paint scheme along with a unique set of wheels.

      Mechanically, the BMW i3s is powered by an updated electric motor which generates 182bhp of power and 269Nm of torque. The powerful electric motor enables the vehicle to sprint from 0 to 100kmph in just about 6.9 seconds and is limited to a top speed of 160kmph. The performance focused electric car gets wider wheels and revised suspension components.

      The car is also gets an on-board twin-cylinder gasoline engine will fire up to charge the batteries, extending the i3s range to 180 miles (290 kms). Bookings for the BMW i3s is open and starts at £36,975 (Approx 31.38 lakhs).
