From the time it was unveiled in November 2013, the car has been creating so much hype in the auto industry that all big media agencies and experts have focussed their attention on its launch. It was the acute strategy of Honda that has given it an adequate platform to offer the new City to the world. Now, the curtains will be raised shortly and all new Honda City will be marking its advent on Indian roads.

Speculations are rife and auto experts are betting high on this car to be an ultimate game changer in mid-level sedan segment. The most intriguing factors about this car is its dynamic outlooks and newly equipped diesel engine, which is expected to deliver exemplary performance in all aspects. The latest 'Earth Dream' diesel technology will be incorporated in upcoming City's 1.5-litre engine, along with the option of already appreciated 1.5-litre iVTEC petrol powertrain. As per reports, the former variant will be assisted with a 5-speed manual gearbox and latter will be available with 5-sped automatic/manual transmissions.

It is a wide known fact that the company has introduced its diesel technology in its entry-level sedan, Amaze. The engine has provided some magnificent figures of fuel economy and has been granted several global titles for its performance. Interestingly, Honda is claiming that similar performance has been delivered by this engine in its upcoming sedan. The company, as per its official website, boasts of a Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) tested mileage of 26 kmpl returned by the car. On the other hand, the petrol version also does not lag behind and is believed to achieve a fuel economy of 18 kmpl, which seems quite impressive. In a country where these statistics matter more than a car's basic feature, Honda has been able to turn much heads towards its new design.

The layout of fourth generation Honda City is believed to be based on the company's unique 'Exciting H Philosophy', which comprises exterior's overall aerodynamics and technicality of interiors. The front and side profile of 2014 Honda City have chiselled flares to channelise air flow at high speed, thereby, providing much more stability while driving. Notably, the sturdy looks of exteriors are perfectly accompanied with robust features at interiors. Touch screen infotainment system is provided on the main panel along with snazzy consoles and modish dials. Steering mounted consoles will be arriving with top-end variants of the car, assisted with features of height adjustment driver seat, rear defoggers and push start engine button. Safety features are enhanced with multiple airbags and Anti-Lock Brake system (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD).
