      Ford to expand network in remote areas

      As part of Ford’s plans to expand and strengthen its presence in the Indian market, the automaker will be expanding its footprint in tier-3 and tier-4 towns. In next two to three years, Ford is planning to expand its sales and service outlets to 500 from the current 376 and most of it will be based in smaller towns.

      Ford to expand network in remote areas

      Ford’s sales and service facility is spread across 209 cities across the country. As most of the major cities in the country has been covered by the American automaker, they will now be focusing on tier-3 and tier-4 locations. Reports indicate that the company believes that there is a good demand coming in from smaller towns in India.

      Ford now has spare parts distribution centre located in Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Rajasthan. Moreover, using the Ford website customers can now find out the estimated cost for servicing their vehicle. Additionally, for the company has also offers the spare parts to their cars via multi-brand workshops and car mechanics in the country to further ease the maintenance process.
