Ford India has issued a statement where recalling approximately 48,000 units of the EcoSport diesel and 700 more cars to replace parts that can potentially raise safety concerns.

One of the two issues is regarding the bundle clips on the fuel and brake lines. Ford wants to replace the bundle clips on the fuel and brake lines of about 48,000 EcoSports with diesel engines as the current clips are not upto Ford standards. These cars were built between April 2013 and June 2014 and if you own one of these, you can take it to the nearest Ford dealer to get the issue fixed free of cost.

Another issue that affects the Ford EcoSport is the usage of sub-standard bolts to mount the split rear seats. On certain vehicles built in January and February 2016, the bolts used on the 40 per cent split seat may not meet Ford’s material specification and break under stress.

Ford has said that they are getting in touch with their customers for the recall and has assured that no customer complaints, mishaps or injuries have been reported from these concerns.
