Ford has admitted that if the front passenger seat massage function is turned on and an adult is in that seat, the occupant classification system may mistakenly classify the adult as a child. And in the process the system could suppress the front passenger airbag and increase the risk of an injury in the event of a crash. No injuries or deaths have been reported, but the car maker will get dealerships to update the occupant classification system software at no cost to the customer.
