      Ford Mustang 2015 edition gets a 5-Star rating from NHTSA

      The new Ford Mustang of 2015 edition has received a five-star Overall Vehicle Score in the New Car Assessment Program of the national Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The 2015 model has double the number of airbags, double the number of peripheral crash sensors. Apart from these new things, the car model has additional pretensioning safety belt technology as compared with the outgoing model. The new Mustang comes with a 3.7-litre V6 engine, a more powerful 5.0-litre V8 and an all-new 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine. The engines are capable of producing a power of 300 hp, 435 hp and 310 hp, respectively.

      The New Car Assessment Program by NHTSA for all new vehicle designs established to test the performance against all kinds of safety threats. The 2015 Mustang has received five stars in the frontal test for crashes, five starts separately in the side crash test and five stars in the rollover crash test.

      Carl Widmann, the chief engineer of Mustang, said, "The new Mustang was built from the ground up. It is more refined, more powerful and it has everything people have come to love about Mustang for the past 50 years."

      The 2015 Ford Mustang comes with all-new inflatable airbag restraint design, a superb peripheral crash sensors package and enhanced exterior lighting system. Also included in the package are semi-autonomous technologies such as the Adaptive Cruise Control, BLIS Cross-Traffic Alert as well as SYNC 911 Assist.
