Ford launched the 2019 Endeavour in India at Rs 28.19 lakhs
Ford has discontinued the entry-level Trend trim as a part of the update. The Endeavour is now available in two trims – Titanium and Titanium+ – across two engine options. Appearance wise, the SUV received a blink-and-miss cosmetic update. The grille now has redesigned horizontal louvres and a chrome finish. The bumper design has been mildly tweaked and the unchanged headlights now have a smoky effect as well. The newly-designed 18-inch alloy wheels are part of the update while the tail lamps now house LED inserts. Ford has also introduced one new exterior colour called Diffused Silver and it replaces the Smoke Grey colour of the older model.
All variants of this updated Endeavour get six airbags, eight-inch SYNC3 infotainment system, ABS with EBD, stability assist, hill start assist, power driver’s seat and leather upholstery. The top-spec trim also comes with panoramic sunroof, eight-way adjustable driver’s seat, TPMS, power folding third-row seat, semi-auto parallel park assist, one touch window, front parking sensors, and other off-roading hardware.
Under the hood of the new Endeavour, things remain unchanged. So the two powertrain options include a 2.2-litre diesel four-cylinder unit producing 158bhp and 385Nm while the more powerful 3.2-litre puts out 197bhp and 470Nm. The 2.2-litre unit can be had with a six-speed manual or a six-speed AT while the 3.2-litre engine can only be had with a six-speed AT and 4X4 as standard.
The 2019 Ford Endeavour continues to challenge the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas G4, Skoda Kodiaq and Isuzu MU-X in the seven-seater SUV segment. Pricing for the new Ford Endeavour is as follows –
2.2-litre Titanium MT – Rs 28.19 lakhs
2.2-litre Titanium AT – Rs 30.60 lakhs
3.2-litre Titanium+ AT – Rs 32.97 lakhs
