Ford Brazil re-scheduled official unveiling of Ka hatchback to an earlier date prior to the expected unveiling in Brazil after FIFA World cup. The production version of the hatchback has been revealed officially that looks very similar to the concept version shown last year in November. Ford Ka hatchback will be introduced in India as the updated Figo hatchback. The comprehensively tweaked Figo is likely to be launched in India by next year. Ford Brazil has also uploaded images of the hatchback on its official website hinting at how the new generation model will look like. Among the changes a redesigned honeycomb front grille is contrary to the concept version that sported chrome plated horizontal slats. Changes are also visible in the head lamps that have received mirror treatment while the design remains intact.
Brazil Spec Ka hatchback will be powered by a 1.0 litre naturally aspirated, three cylinder petrol engine that has the capacity to generate a maximum power output of 85 Bhp when running on petrol or ethanol. India bound Figo on the other hand could be housed with a 1.4 litre oil burner and a 1.2 litre petrol engine.Rumorsare doingthe rounds that Ford India could also put on offer the renowned 1.0 litre EcoBoost petrol engine that has been rewarded across the globe for its high efficiency. The only vehicle from Ford India clan that comes with 1.0 litre EcoBoost engine is the EcoSport compact SUV.
