      Ford Fiesta ST200 revealed at 2016 Geneva Motor Show

      Ford’s Fiesta has been a popular choice across the global markets. This time around, at the 2016 Geneva Motor show, the company has unveiled the much awaited Fiesta ST200. The newly showcased model is stated to be about 10% more powerful than the older trim while also generating about 20% more torque. The new model is now offered in one exclusive Storm Grey shade. To add to it sporty appeal the vehicle comes loaded with red painted brake calipers, Partial leather Recaro seats with silver detailed seat belts and contrast stitching.

      The Ford Fiesta ST200 comes with a retuned 1.6-litre EcoBoost engine that generates about 198bhp of power and 290Nm of torque. The Transient overboost helps the tweaked engine to generate an additional 14bhp and 30Nm of torque for about 15 seconds. The Fiesta ST200 is capable of attaining a top speed of about 230km/h. The vehicle is capable of doing a 0 - 100km/h in just about 6.7 seconds.

      The new Ford Fiesta ST200 offers enhancement in form of 3-mode stability control, modified front steering knuckle and enhanced torque vectoring control. Added further, the vehicle offers enhanced drivability, rear disc brakes with larger braking master cylinder, adapted rear twist beam with increased roll stiffness and 15mm lower centre of gravity. For now there are no plans to introduce the Fiesta ST200 in the Indian market, it would be introduced in European market post its production which is due to start in June this year.
