Ford has just launched the new-generation Endeavour for Rs 24.75 lakhs. This is the new-generation SUV that is designed on a new platform and is being offered with a range of new engines. The 2.2-litre diesel engine churns about 158bhp of power and 385Nm of torque. This engine comes mated with an option of six-speed manual and automatic transmission and at the same time it even has an option of 4x2 and 4x4 versions. The other engine is the 3.2-litre diesel that produces 298bhp of power and 470Nm of peak torque. This comes only with a 4x4 and an automatic transmission.
The Endeavour has a ground clearance of 225mm and the fuel efficiency of the Ford Endeavour is 12.62km/l for the 2.2-litre automatic and 14.12km/l for the 2.2-litre manual. The 3.2-litre automatic returns about 10.91km/l as per ARAI cycle.
The Endeavour is based on an all-new platform and this will be assembled in Ford’s Chennai plant. The Endeavour comes with features like multiple airbags, ABs with EBD, ESP, Hill Start Control, Hill Descent Control, HID Headlamps, electrochromic mirrors, dual zone AC, voice commands, rain sensing wipers, adjustable speed limiter, cruise control, heated side mirror, power folding third row, puddle lamp, electric panoramic sunroof, terrain management system, semi-auto parallel parking, tyre monitoring system and power liftgate.shil
