Ford EcoSport has always been a strong player in the compact SUV segment. The recently introduced upgraded model now gets additional features along with a slight increase in price ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000, depending on the variant. And owing to this fresh revision in prices, the price for the base EcoSport variant now starts at Rs 7,82,200 (ex-showroom, India).
As a part of the new upgrade, the car now comes with rear parking sensors, speed sensing auto door lock and passenger seat belt reminder as standard across all variants. Moreover, the Trend variant also gets a rear view camera this time around. Except for the base Ambiente variant, all the variants get an updated 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SYNC and navigation as well.
Features like ambient lighting and My Key which was earlier offered in the Titanium variant has now been limited to the top-spec Titanium+ variant. Under the hood, it continues to be powered by existing engine options. The 1.5-litre, three-cylinder dragon petrol engine generates 121bhp of power at 6,500rpm and 150Nm of torque at 4,500rpm.
