This compact sedan has enabled its manufacturer to make a huge impact on the market. Honda introduced Amaze in 2013, a year that, so far, has been one of the worst faced by companies competing in the Indian car market. Irrespective of conditions and scenarios, the Japanese firm went ahead to launch Amaze. If this was not all, it was directly in competing with Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire, one of the best models of the most trusted brand in the country. However, defying all odds, this car has gone on to achieve superb success, registering unbelievable sales figures. Other than Swift DZire, Honda Amaze has provided stiff competition to Ford Classic, one of the most fuel-efficient cars in the country. In recent times, experts have compared Classic and Amaze models, analysing all aspects in detail.

Ford Classic comes in bold design that is characterised by electrically operated ORVMs, smart fog lamps, aesthetic looking alloy wheels. All these features combine to give this car an excellent stance, which results in a superb road presence. Honda Amaze, on the other hand, has an elegant and modern appearance, which aptly represents a modern-day vehicle. Coming to interiors, Honda is known for being the best when it comes to comfort and convenience. Amaze, true to its manufacturer, does not disappoint as its interiors are a combination of technology and comfort. Beautiful looking interiors of this model come with eco lamp, an advanced audio system, tilt adjustable steering, sporty speedometer, height adjustable driver's seat and steering mounted audio controls. The inside of Ford Classic also comes with a number of technological features, such as General Electronic Module (GEM) and Power Control Module (PCM). The highlight of interiors of Ford Classic is the Bluetooth enabled music system, which comes with a CD player, four speakers and support for aux-in.

Honda Amaze and Ford Classic are available in both petrol and diesel versions. The petrol version of the sedan from Ford runs on Duratec engine that has a displacement of 1596 cc. On the other hand, petrol variant of Honda Amaze is fitted with a 1.2-litre engine. Petrol variants of Amaze and Classic deliver outputs of 86 bhp and 99 bhp, respectively. As far as mileage figures of these versions are concerned, Ford's sedan delivers an excellent fuel-economy of around 21 kmpl, according to company claims. Diesel versions of Amaze and Classic are fitted with 1.5-litre i-DTEC and 1.4-litre Duratorq engines, respectively. While Amaze diesel produces maximum power of 98 bhp, Ford's model delivers 66 bhp. In terms of fuel-economy, Classic clearly beats Amaze, rendering a fuel-economy of 32.38 kmpl as compared to 25.8 kmpl of the latter.

From these figures, it would be quite difficult to choose between the two as both are neck-to-neck. Although Ford Classic has really high mileage figures, the engine of Honda Amaze is considered to be really durable and suitably for the long run. In addition, the Japanese car maker has provided a high number of safety features in this car, which gives it a slight edge over Classic.
