Ahead of launch ofKatwins in Brazil, Ford Brazil has officially released interior images of FordKahatchback andKa+ sedan. The revealed image shows centre console that will be offered in both the vehicles. Ford’s newly developed SYNC andAppLinksystem can be seen equipped on the centre console. What makes the new SYNC andAppLinksystem divergent is its ability to enable voice activated commands. It also enables users to dial and answer calls and access music system without reaching out to the centre console.
TheAppLinksystem upholdssmartphoneapplications, it is likely that this feature might be offered in the India-spec models too. The system however, will also support popularsmarthponeapps in India likeCricInfoandMapMyIndia. Ford recently introduced the newly developed feature in tweaked Fiesta diesel in India.
Ka hatchback will be introduced in India as the replacement of current generation Figo. Ka+ sedan will also be launched in domestic market as Figo sedan. The company had displayed Figo sedan earlier this year at the 2014 Auto Expo held in Greater Noida in the month of February. Figo sedan will be positioned as the replacement of ageing Classic sedan that has been present in India for long. We expect to see both the cars in India next year, Figo hatchback will most probably be rendered first followed by the sub-four-meter sedan.
In Brazil, Ka twins will be powered with the 1.0 litre, three cylinder non-turbocharged engine that is capable of yielding a towering power of 85 Hp and peak torque of 107Nm. Besides this, Ford Brazil might also put on offer a 1.5 litre, four cylinder petrol engine. Both the motors can run on petrol as well as ethanol.
