Ford will be selling the compact sedan sans the ‘Figo’ badge. The sub-four metre sedan will be now simply called the Ford Aspire to differentiate it from the hatchback twin.
Ford Figo Aspire
The Aspire probably used the Figo badge to take advantage of the name that done well with previous generation hatchback. However, the new Figo and Aspire twins haven’t done well, despite offering a strong package. The change in name is mostly to differentiate between the two products that might have individual branding strategies.
We are still waiting for official communication from Ford India in this regard and are expecting a word in the next few days.
