Ford India has announced special discounts on repairs to Ford cars that were affected by the recent rains and floods in Mumbai and Eastern India. Ford has decided to absorb 50 percent of what the customer has to pay for repairs claimed through insurance.
The car maker has also ensured that surveyors from insurance companies will be stationed at Ford service centres to facilitate a swift processing of these insurance claims. Additionally, special benefits like 50 percent discount on labour charges for replacement of components that are not covered under insurance, and 50 percent discount on anti-rust coating (underbody) will be offered.
The affected Ford cars will also be entitled to one free engine oil replacement. All Ford service centres in the affected areas will be operational for extended hours to expedite the repair work. The brand has also tied up with ‘Zoomcar’ to offer a 20 percent discount when booking a self-driving car, just in case repairs on their Ford car takes more than 24 hours.
