      Ford announces 37 per cent increase in domestic operations in India

      Ford India's domestic operations has grown by 37 per cent with 8,444 vehicles sold in June 2018 as against 6,149 units sold in the same month last year. Export numbers have dropped considerably to 10,386 vehicles as against 14,649 units in June 2017. However, combined wholesales and exports for the company had dropped to 18,830 vehicles in June as compared to 20,828 vehicles sold in the same month last year.

      Speaking on the occasion, Anurag Mehrotra, president and managing director, Ford India said, “With one million domestic wholesale, Ford crossed a significant milestone in June and proud to be the vehicle of choice for One Million families. The One Million domestic wholesale highlights the success of our ongoing strategy of focusing on strong brand, right products, competitive cost and effective scale. The strategy has ensured us to grow ahead of the industry while increasing retail fuel prices, inflation and thereby interest rates continue to post challenges.”

      In an effort to strengthen its relationship with its customers, the company has announced service camps across dealerships in East, West and South India. Ford dealerships across North India will organize the camps from 2 July-8 July, ahead of the arrival of monsoon in the region. The company is also offering other benefits such as free car body wash and check-up, along with discounts on consumables, and accessories.
