      Force Motors set to debut in passenger vehicles segment with MPV

      Forced Motors announced on Tuesday that the company is all set to enter passenger vehicle segment with its MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) next year and for that they have already planned to set up a new facility in Madhya Pradesh with a production capacity of 24,000 units annually.

      "Force is engaged in a dialogue with the Madhya Pradesh government to locate a new plant for the production of the MPV at Pithampur. The production of this new product is expected to commence towards the end of calendar year 2012 with an initial capacity of approximately 24,000 vehicles per annum," enthusiastic firm said.

      However, Force didn’t mention the investment for the plant. However, technology for the MPV will be procured from German auto major Daimler, as per the licensing agreement signed by the two.

      The company further added that the supply of product technology will assist Force entry into passenger and goods vehicles segment. Currently, Force uses a 2.2L common rail OM 611 engine in its Traveller range of vehicles. The firm also has a collaboration with MBtech Powertrain GmbH for technical assistance in engine installation, vehicle build quality and electronic refinement apart from others.
