As per a statement given by Bob Fernley, Deputy Team principal, withdrawing from this session was being discussed; however, the team will definitely look forward to participate in qualifying as well as in the race. On Wednesday night, the safety concerns of the team members of Force India raised following a Molotov cocktail exploded close to their hire car.

While further speaking on the matter, he added, "We are just going to look at the programme study of what we are going to do now but will look at it for very limited running for FP2. We may not run, we may do half a session - whatever it is. We did a lot of work this morning as you saw, we have the data we need now, so we can afford if necessary to miss out the FP2."
