Force India’s formula one racer Adrian Sutil finished 4th at the event. Sutil had earlier qualified for Number Two position at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Force India’s other driver, Vitantonio Liuzzi finished 7th position, making it the best ever start for the Force India formula 1 team ever.

“After the results yesterday and this morning, we wanted to fight for the pole position. We knew the car was up to it and that’s what we showed in qualifying today. We have a great package, this circuit suits us very well as we have an incredible top speed and also a good downforce package so the efficiency of the car is really good. I’m starting on the front row with Lewis for the first time since F3 and I’m really happy he is next to me, he’s a good friend but we will fight hard for it,” Sutil had stated in an interview after qualifying for the second pole position of the season.

Adrian Sutil had replaced Fisichella who left Force India to join Ferrari. Fisichella finished at the 9th position while Brawn driver Rubens Barrichello made the most of a one-stop fuel strategy to edge out team-mate Jenson Button in the Italian Grand Prix. Brawn driver Button finished second and although Fishichella did not manage to bag the coveted position, nevertheless, antoher Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen finished third.

Title-challenging Red Bull has a miserable race: Mark Webber crashed out on lap one, while team-mate Sebastian Vettel scored just one point, in eighth.
