While glancing at Hyundai’s official Indian webpage, we found out that the ‘Fluidic 4S’ name has been removed from the Verna badge.
Hyundai has now christened the car as the ‘2016 Verna’. However, other than this, the car maker has decided not to make any other changes to the car. So, this means that it is mechanically the same and also continues to offer the same set of features. The 4S was officially introduced to the name todifferentiate it from theearlier version. Nevertheless, it has been a while and buyers have come to associate it with only the newer car. With nobody tagging the car as a Fluidic or a 4S, Hyundai must have decided against it and hence dropped it from the badge.
We also came across a hike in prices for the 2016 Verna. Though the hike ranges from Rs 23,000 to Rs 38,000 (ex-showroom Delhi), it is obvious that these could vary between cities. The updated prices are probably the result of the revisions made post the recent budget. Sources at Hyundai did not comment on the name change the Verna has gone through.
