After being sold for a whopping $1.2 million in an auction earlier this year, the first ever production 2017 Honda NSX has rolled off the assembly line. Sold as the Acura NSX in the US, the high-performance two-seater recently exited the assembly line at Honda’s performance manufacturing center in Marysville, Ohio.

As a matter of fact, the first production NSX is finished in red with lots of carbon fibre bits including the roof, the rear spoiler and engine cover. The fortunate owner is a certain Rick Hendrick who previously managed to buy the first 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Coupe, first 2012 Camaro ZL1 and the last ever BMW M5 “30 Jahre”.

The 2017 Honda NSX has been in the making for longer than we can recollect. Producing 573bhp from its petrol V6-electric hybrid set up, it is the highly awaited successor to the original NSX which is regarded as one of all-time great Japanese sports cars.
