Fiat Uno did not make a strong impact when it was first launched in India and Fiat India had withdrawn the model from the Indian market. However, the model is back with a bang and flaunts of host of new features. The model is expected to hit the showrooms by December 2010.
Fiat intends to phase out Palio and yet maintain a diversified product portfolio in the small car segment. Thus, along with Fiat Grand Punto Fiat will also introduce Uno for the Indian customers by the end of this year.
Fiat will reveal detailed specifications of the model along with its price later this year but with its new tie-up with Tata Motor, Fiat intends to make a strong come back in the small car segment. Its recent models in the country including Linea, Palio and Punto give a promising outlook already about its plans for the Indian market.
