Fiat has not revealed its pricing aspect for now, but is likely that the Italian carmaker may launch the 500 Abarth well under Rs. 25 Lakhs. Earlier this year Mr. Nagesh Basavanhalli, President and Managing Director, FIAT Chrysler Automobiles India Operations, was heard as saying, “Abarth 500 is an iconic car known for its racing performance and the flagship car of the Abarth brand worldwide. We have received positive reviews at the Delhi Auto Expo for our product line up in 2014.”
The upcoming Fiat Abarth that is powered by 1.4-liter, turbocharged, 4 pot engine under the hood, is well controlled with features like anti-lock-braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) and electronic stability control (ESC). The petrol trim of Fiat Abarth is capable of generating power output of about 158 Hp with 230 Nm of torque. For people looking for more action and power, the hatchback may also be available in ‘Essess’ variant that is capable of delivering higher power output of about 161 Bhp. This little power packed machine from Fiat also comes with seven airbags for complete protection.
The upcoming Fiat Abarth 500 is capable of attaining speeds of upto 205 km/hr. Moreover, blessed with Torque Transfer Control (TTC) technology the vehicle is capable of maintaining traction points at all times. Presence of a dual-exhaust system and projector headlamps enhance the overall driving experience.
