Fiat launched the special edition of Punto Evo in the country late last month. The hatchback named Punto Sportivo has been introduced in India for Rs 7.1 Lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The car comes with various accessories including a two tone colour - red body and white roof, new seat covers and touch screen infotainment system.
The Punto Sportivo is stated to be based on the diesel Active variant with 1.3-litre Multijet engine mated to five-speed manual gearbox that generates about 75bhp of power at 4,000rpm and 197Nm of torque at 1,750rpm. Speaking more on the occasion, at the time of launch, Mr Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director, FCA India said, “Punto Sportivo is a stylish car and is targeted towards those auto enthusiasts who desire sporty looks. The add-ons make the Punto Sportivo stand out from the competition and includes a host of plush features. This limited edition car will undoubtedly create a wave of interest during this festive period. This offering on the Punto Sportivo is a perfect blend of style and sportiness.”
Inside, the vehicle gets 6.5-inch touch screen infotainment system, Fiat branded carpet mats and door sills, and white and red combination seat covers. On the exterior, the Fiat Punto Sportivo gets 15-inch 6x2 spoke alloy with a new design, chrome garnish on ORVMs, parking sensors, white chequered graphics on bonnet, Sportivo badging, white roof and rear parking sensors.
