Fiat has unveiled its newest model named Tipo in Istanbul. The new vehicle is reportedly based on Aegea platform. The company may begin production for the vehicle by december this year and may be sold in Asian, European and Middle Eastern markets. The may offer the upcoming vehicle in two petrol and two diesel engine options. It is likely that the company may showcase the vehcle at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo Event post which it may also debute in India.

In terms of dimensions, the new Tipo could be similarly sized as the Aegea that measures about 4500mm in length, 1780mm width, 1480mm height, and feature a wheelbase of 2640 mm. The mesh grill on the front compliments the agressive style. As for the interiors, the vehicle gets five-inch touchscreen multimedia system that also functions as rear parking camera display. Additionally, it gets climate control and all other modern safety features.

Fiat's TIPO has been designed in Italy by the FCA Style Centre, while it has been developed in Turkey withTofaşR&D, and made in the Tofaşplantin Bursa – one of the world's best automotive factories whichhas receivedaWorldClassManufacturingGoldMedal – andsoldin over40 countries in the EMEA area. Hence the projectname 'Ægea' to pay homage to a country which has always been strategic for FCA,as demonstrated bythe jointventure created in1968 between what was then the FiatGroup and Koç Holding.
