Fiat India has pulled its socks for the launch of a new product in its line-up, Avventura. Fiat seems aggressive towards the marketing of its new vehicle and has started promoting it days before its launch. Hinting at the launch of Avventura, Fiat’s official website has updated “Coming Soon” and a teaser image of the vehicle (though it hardly gives a glimpse of the vehicle). Fiat showcased Avventura crossover at the 2014 Auto Expo held in Greater Noida in the month of February. Conceived on the Punto hatchback, Avventura could be referred to as a modified version of the former. The new entrant in the hatchback crossover segment is expected to be launched around August or September.
From the spy shots emerged on inter-web it has been inferred that the production version of the vehicle does not vary much from the concept version. It is being expected that the production version of the vehicle will come with normal bulbs instead of the LED foglamps/daytime running lights as seen in the concept version, however the high end version could be offered with the LED lights. In the front a varied grille equipped with sweptback head lights with projector lights could be seen. Most of the styling cues seen in the concept version have been retained. Imparting a rugged look the hatchback crossover will come with tailgate-mounted spare wheel, extra body cladding, protective skid plates, protective skid plates, large alloys, high ground clearance and roof rails.
To be offered in both petrol and diesel variants, Fiat Avventura petrol range is likely to be housed with the 1.4 litre FIRE gasoline engine that belts out a peak power of 90 Bhp along with a top torque of 115 Nm. Diesel range is expected to be packed with the renowned 1.3-litre Multi-jet engine engendering 92bhp and 209Nm of torque. A six-speed or a five-speed manual transmission are likely to be coupled with both the engines.
