Fiat is ready to roll its Grand Punto in the Indian market. Grand Punto already has a great reputation in the overseas market and is a good model to be introduced as company’s first hatchback model. This model is the one that brought back Fiat from the brink of bankruptcy after it was introduced in the European market.
Fiat Grand Punto comes with EURO NCAP 5 star ratings and will be one of the safest cars on the Indian roads after it is launched in India. Grand Punto will be launched in the first week June and the company has already started training and product demonstration for the dealers. The company shall start the deliveries to the dealerships shortly from its Ranajangaon plant.
Grand Punto will be launched in three variants – Active, Dynamic and Emotion. The Active variant will come with 1.2 liter petrol engine while Dynamic and Emotion will be launched with 1.4 Liter petrol engine. It will also come with 1.3 Liter Multi-jet diesel engine which is known for its super performance and economy. The petrol version is expected to be priced at Rs. 4.5 lakh – 6.0 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) while the diesel variant is expected to be priced at Rs. 5.25 lakh – 6.5 lakh.
