Ferrari might warm up to an SUV finally after the tremendous response to the Lamborghini Urus
Now Ferrari already has a hybrid in the form of the ground-breaking LaFerrari, however, this new system in the SUV will be more traditional concentrating on saving trees rather than hardcore performance. If the SUV does serve as the V-8 hybrid's debut model, it will almost certainly take the form of a plug-in hybrid and directly rival the Lamborghini Urus, which will also feature a plug-in hybrid variant soon enough. As of now Ferrari is not bound by CO2 standards as it produces less than 10,000 cars per year. But an SUV is sure to change that and Ferrari will have to adhere to regulations. What remains to be seen is whether or not an electrified powertrain will affect Ferrari’s purist image, however Ferrari has assured us that no matter what the powertrain or the body shape, it will drive like a Ferrari.
