      Ferrari F12tdf revealed, generates a massive 770bhp

      Popular name on the race track Ferrari has thrilled car fanatics by revealing the new F12tdf that is indeed a more powerful variant of the F12 Berlinetta. The new model pays homage to the Tour de France road races of the 1950s and '60s that was once dominated by the likes of the 1956 250 GT Berlinetta. The company has limited the F12tdf to only about 799 units.

      The Ferrari F12tdf gets a 6.3-litre V12 engine like the current model, but its power output has been enhanced to produce 770bhp of power at 8500rpm and 705nm of torque. The company claims 80% of this torque to be available from as low as 2500rpm and helps it clock a 0-100 km/h in just about 2.9 seconds. The lighter, powerful and faster version gets a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. For efficient braking its gets a single piece brake callipers that also serves the LaFerrari.

      The Ferrari F12tdf gets wider front tires and Virtual Short Wheelbase system for rear wheels that offers optimum steering angle. The vehicle also gets longer and higher rear spoiler for better handling at high speeds. Ferrari reportedly claims to reduce overall weight by about 110kg by use of carbonfibre and has also achieved 30% more downforce than the standard Berlinetta.
