Ferrari has launched the 812 Superfast in India and has priced it at Rs 5.2 crores ex-showroom, the Ferrari 812 will be the flagship Ferrari and will compete with the Lamborghini Aventador in the Indian car market. It replaces the F12 Berlinetta in their Indian line-up.

The 812 Superfast takes its styling cues from its predecessor, the f12 Berlinetta, with the wide gaping grille and the prancing horse in the centre of the mesh-grille. With LED headlamps, breathing gills on the hood, quad circular LED tail lamps and a rear diffuser. It is unmistakably Ferrari with the pronounced fenders, raked windscreen, low roofline and a stubby boot.

The mid-engine supercar is powered by a bored out version of the 6.3-litre V12 engine that powered the F12. Now displacing 6.5-litres, the high-revving petrol mill churns out a whopping 789bhp of power at 8500 rpm with the peak torque of 718 Nm kicking in at 7000rpm, making the Ferrari V12 one of the most powerful naturally aspirated production engines as of today. The power is laid down by the right set of wheels (yes, rear-wheel drive) through a custom-built Getrag 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

And then you have those carbon ceramic brakes to make sure you stop as well. The active and passive aero bits improve the drag coefficient, increase the downforce, regulate underbody airflow and also make sure that the brakes dissipate heat efficiently as well. The Pirelli P-Zero tyres, 275/20 in the front and 315/20 in the back make sure you never run out of rubber. The La-Ferrari styled interiors are luxurious and get the latest infotainment systems as well.
