Action from the popular movie series 'Fast and Furious’ will be soon witnessed on a new platform, as Activision Publishing has confirmed that a game titled Fast and Furious: Showdown will be launched by them on May 21 this year. This has been developed in conjunction with Universal Partnerships & Licensing. An adrenaline packed experience awaits the users of Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii U and 3DS systems, along with Windows PC users.

Just like the movie, players will get a chance to drive some of the meanest cars in the globe and race around with the same. Interestingly, there will be options to switch between different roles, such as gunman, driver, tactician and daredevil. Teaming up will be possible through a two player Co-op Mode. As always, dream cars can be modified with massive performance upgrades, while performance bonuses would also be available. Additionally, a Challenge Mode will be provided through which players can test their skills at performing extreme tasks. Through an online leader board, scores between can be compared with friends and relatives across the globe for bragging purposes.

The new Fast and Furious: Showdown would be bridging the gap between the last instalment- Fast Five and Fast and Furious 6, which is set to release on May 24, 2013. It is also not known whether the movie characters will be present in the game or not. As per reports, there will be 31 different missions across 8 chapters, in 8 different locations. Further, high speed heists, hijacks and shootouts would be part of the various missions. Gaming aficionados would be enamoured with many thrilling objectives, including hijacking vehicles, surviving pursuits and stealing different types of cargo.

Cast of the upcoming Fast and Furious 6 action flick comprises include Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster and Dwayne Johnson. Luke Evans and Gina Carano will be the other supporting cast members. Interestingly, Dwayne Johnson prevented a real robbery from taking place in Hackney last year, during the shooting of this film. Going by the previews, this certainly looks like a movie that no action buff would want to miss.
