Suzuki has revealed its intention to introduce the facelifted S-Cross next month and it now wears a more characteristic and upright fascia that lends it a bolder look.

Facelifted Suzuki S-Cross to debut in October

Three years have passed after Suzuki first entered the C segment with the S-Cross. Exterior highlights with this facelift include a more angled pair of head lamps, and a new design style for the tail lamps which make the whole package look more contemporary. Move into the inside, and one will notice soft-touch dash with the highlights for the centre console, and the panoramic sunroof which comes standard on the top-end variant.
This facelift will make it to showrooms abroad with the option of three engines. And while there will be a 1.0-litre Boosterjet unit which produces 111bhp and 170Nm of torque, there will also be a 1.4-litre Boosterjet engine that comes with 140bhp and 220Nm of torque. Improvements to the 1.4-litre Boosterjet motor include better efficiency and performance through the range. There will also be a 1.6-litre DDiS engine which has a torque of 320Nm from as low as 1,750rpm, and this is made possible through the use of a variable geometry turbocharger (VGT).
All variants will get seven airbags, ESP, Bluetooth, digital radio, daytime running lights (DRLs), 16-inch alloys, cruise control, heated door mirrors, black protective skid plates and black wheel arch extensions. Top end variants will also come with LED projector headlamps, satellite navigation, rear parking camera, four-mode ALLGRIP system, dual zone auto air-con, radar brake support (RBS), leather and heated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof.
Maruti Suzuki is expected to rope in the facelifted S-Cross for the Indian market soon after it incorporates the necessary updates which are specific to our buyers. Stay tuned to CarTrade for more on this in the days to come.
